03 / Clothing Modeling
3D prototyping.
Look before you cut.
Explore the volume, proportions, and drape of your garment before creating a physical prototype. Inkura supports the development of your collection through 3D textile modeling.
From Idea to Production
Your garment,
from a new perspective.
Virtual prototyping helps you compare design options and discuss a model. We create a digital representation based on the information you provide and your project’s objectives.
View the silhouette
Examine the proportions and construction of the garment in a 3D environment to make your design intentions clearer.
Explore the variations
Compare options for cut, color, or fabric based on the available information and within the scope we have defined together.
Preparing for Discussions
Use digital renderings to discuss the model with your teams, your modeler, or your production partner.
The presentation image is a conceptual illustration. The deliverables for your project are specified in the quote.
A well-prepared project
From the brief
to the virtual prototype.
A sketch conveys an idea; the pattern and fabric specifications help refine it. From the outset, we define the available elements, the expected views, and the adjustments to be made.
Your Brief
Share your sketches, visual references, measurements, patterns, and information about the materials you have on hand.
Modeling
We work on the representation of the garment within the scope of the project: construction, proportions, and presentation.
Views to be delivered
The angles, dimensions, and any variations are specified in the quote. They are used to visualize and communicate details about the model.
Your Questions, Made Simple
Before you begin.
Does a virtual prototype replace a physical sample?
3D technology helps in reviewing a design and preparing for decision-making. It does not replace all physical checks: texture, actual drape of the fabric, comfort, and construction must be verified according to production requirements.
Is it necessary to have a digital boss?
A usable pattern makes it easier to prepare the model. If your patterns are on paper, you may want to consider our scanning service in advance. The required documents will be determined based on your project.
What information is needed for a quote?
Please specify the type of garment, the available components, the desired views, and any variations. Attach sketches, patterns, and fabric information to clarify your request.
Can renderings be used to showcase a collection?
Digital renderings can be used for discussions or to present the project. Please specify the intended uses and formats so they can be included in the quote.
